HCV HOMEOWNER MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
Thanks to the Connecting Capital and Community (3C) Initiative, led by The Chicago Community Trust, CAFHA is partnering with Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago and Breakthrough Urban Ministries to match homeowners with current renter housing choice voucher holders who are enrolled in CHA's Choose to Own Program and are working to become homeowners.

Mentors are selected via CAFHA's HCV Homeowner Fellowship. They are all experienced homeowners who have successfully purchased their homes through the CHA Choose to Own Program and are passionate about helping others learn more about the intricacies of home purchasing.
CAFHA initially developed this peer Homeowner Mentorship Program with its very own Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Leader Board and we are excited to bring this to communities like East Garfield Park and Humboldt Park, where there are a high number Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) renter voucher holders.
