CAFHA provides on-site fair housing trainings covering legal requirements and the new HUD rule on affirmatively furthering fair housing. Trainings are tailored to the unique needs of the audience:

  • Community Based Organization and Housing Advocates

January 12, 2016 The Chicago Area Fair Housing Alliance (CAFHA) and Access Living present a 60 minute webinar to educate Housing Counselors with information on the fair housing rights of people with disabilities. This webinar includes information on legal rights of individuals, and the responsibilities of housing providers, and housing counselors. This webinar will help equip housing counselors with the information they need to advocate for their clients and to help clients make informed decisions when navigating the housing market.

January 19, 2016 The Chicago Area Fair Housing Alliance (CAFHA) presents a 60 minute webinar to educate Housing Counselors on the new HUD rule to Affirmatively Further Fair HOusing (AFFH). Additionally, viewers will be introduced to several data tools to assist with the responsibility to AFFH, including data that can be useful at national, state, and local (Chicago) levels. This webinar will help equip Housing Counselors with the information they need to promote equitable, inclusive, and accessible housing in their service area.
